**Technical Advisor - British Gypsum (Loughborough)**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a **Technical Advisor** with**British Gypsum (Office based - Loughborough)**where the focus is being the technical expert providing market leading advice, prioritizing incoming enquiries and helping the business develop our 'self-help' service offering to improve howwe deal with general technical enquiries.
As a **Technical Advisor**with**British Gypsum**you will be involved in the following:
- Provide accurate and market leading written/verbal technical advice within the parameters set by the team leader. Ensuring all advice is delivered to the highest standards and in line with company procedures. Primary ownership of the technical enquiry streamingprocess providing an escalation route from self-help tools.
- Consults with customers and responds to their needs enabling customers to get their needs met whilst maximising commercial specification.
- Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvements on how things are done within the team to improve team effectiveness and efficiency. Responsible for the ongoing development, refinement and maintenance of the knowledge bank used by automated self-helptools including identifying trends of questions being asked.
- Identifies and makes suggestions for new self-help tools to aid the customer in choosing British Gypsum product and system solutions in a way that enhances their experience.
- Generates new ideas on how service provision can meet the evolving needs of the customers and experiments with different ways of implementing these so as to satisfy customer and encourage them to return.
- Taps into the sources of technical and professional know-how across the team and business on an ongoing basis so as to keep abreast of changes within the industry thereby using the latest know-how to advise and support customers.

To be suitable for the **Technical Advisor**with**British Gypsum** you need to have:
- Experience of providing verbal and written solutions to queries from customers.
- Experience of being able to navigate around websites and find key information.
- Comfortable analysing data and key information.
- Being adaptable with ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Good customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills. for a wide variety of people.
- Desirable: Construction or technical knowledge (basic understanding)
- Able to articulate customer needs and craft bespoke solutions in supporting positively to our brand ensuring we are the trusted experts.
- Construction/building knowledge, ideally within the dry lining industry is beneficial.
- Professional qualifications in construction/ building physics are advantageous.
