Europe Correspondent

**Express.co.uk** is looking for a **Europe Correspondent** to join our ever-expanding team. You will play a key role in providing extensive coverage of the European Union and beyond, as the UK’s post-Brexit relationship with the bloc continues to develop.

We are on the hunt for an experienced reporter who thrives in an independent setting, enjoys the thrill of breaking news and securing brilliant exclusives. This is an excellent opportunity for a politically-minded reporter to join our dynamic team and drive the Express’s extensive editorial content and digital presence.

**Key Responsibilities**
**What will your role involve?**
- Write distinctive copy and analysis on the EU’s institutions, Nato and wider Europe for Express.co.uk
- Be a self-starter and pitch strong ideas and spot engaging news lines in the most unexpected places
- Have a strong knowledge of social media and an ability to use it to increase our readership
- Build and maintain a network of contacts and sources to help deliver agenda-setting exclusives
- Learn the inner workings of the European Union and its many institutions

**Who are we looking for?**
- Demonstrable interest in the European Union and beyond, from European Parliament debates, Ursula von der Leyen’s latest movements to national elections across the Continent
- Experience in digital and a commitment to growing our digital audience
- Knowledge and experience of SEO
- Able to work to strict deadlines
- Able to compile a newslist to complement Express.co.uk’s extensive political coverage
