My client are a long-established, financially secure SME based in Surrey with a UK customer base, and are in need of an experienced SQL Report Writer on a permanent basis working fully remote.

**Duties**
- New report production.
- Editing and improving existing reports.
- Reviewing, centralising, managing and enhancing a portfolio of standard reports for our main software platform.
- Working with customers on complex reporting and data requirements.
- Working with our Sales Manager to produce outputs that will further existing and prospective customer sales opportunities.
- Working with customers to interpret/improve the quality of their requirements.
- Working on data and report related support calls (submitted via our Freshdesk portal).
- Testing new report module functionality as an expert user.

**Technical Requirements**
- Strong skills in writing SQL manually (not using a generator tool) including a thorough understanding of complex SQL including advanced subqueries, inline queries (both in select and from clauses) and ideally Oracle analytic SQL.
- Ability to understand how query performance is affected by the choice of SQL.
- Ability to write stored procedures (and therefore a background in Oracle is important).
- Microsoft VBA would be an advantage.
- Competent level of presentation skills for report output with a focus on both data accuracy and the visual appearance and layout of the report.
