GTS Information technology are delighted to be working with a cutting-edge innovator within have automotive, transportation and motorsport sector who are actively recruiting for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join their ever-growing team.
The role
As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer you will be one of the key contributors who guide and foster innovation by developing leading edge products that span multiple market segments including transportation, automotive, motorsport and human performance.
You will work on a wide variety of challenging products or solutions, often high in complex and based around mission critical systems that combine capabilities such as real-time anomaly detection, predictive maintenance and optimisation with supporting virtualisationand reporting.
You will also help to refine / optimise methods around data streaming, aggregation, manipulation, modelling, and visualisation, through clean and consistent coding.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages including but not limited to: Go, C#, Kotlin.
- Experience in Python.
- Interest and ability to learn other coding languages
- Experience and understanding of building products on cloud infrastructure such as AWS (preferred), Azure and GCP and micro services.
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL.
- Familiarity with designing, developing, and creating RESTful web services and APIs.
- Understanding of message brokers such as Kafka.
- Familiarity with CICD pipelines and test automation.
- Good understanding of agile or lean development practices.
- Experience in mentoring junior Software Engineers.
- Ability to write and speak in English fluently.
Desirable
- Experience with Kotlin or Go.
- Experience with Time Series databases and/or MQTT.
- Experience with front-end technology (e.g. Angular, React).
