**Base Vision Engineer**

**Location**: Greenford, London

**Salary**: Competitive

This role is to work with the company’s dynamic vision engineering team ensuring all Vision equipment sent to jobs is fully operational and correctly loaded.

**Main Duties**

Ensure that the operational needs of the OB base operation in Greenford are effectively met and that the equipment loaded is as requested by the Unit Managers and Vision department.
- Respond to all OB Crew members in a positive, friendly, and proactive manner
- To assist and work with the stores team and to fulfil all vision requirements for each OB
- Ensure tenders have the correct kit assigned to them, including hired equipment
- Ensure all equipment is checked when returning from OBs and returned to the correct locations
- Maintain and operate equipment in OB trucks and the storage facility. This includes opening, closing, and powering trucks (when trained), installing and removing kit, checking the trucks have the basic requirements to do their jobs
- Ensure that technical faults are identified and logged and faulty equipment is taken out of service
- Implement alternative technical solutions to faults as required
- Engage with suppliers for service agreements, repairs, and to order spares
- Comply with all safety regulations and ensure the electronic equipment is aligned to the defined standards and keep appropriate records
- To maintain tenders on standard loads
- Carry out basic maintenance on vision equipment
- Constantly look to innovate and improve our kit management and storage
- Replenish stock when it runs out, liaising with the Line manager to make sure no duplicates are ordered, and prospective jobs are forward planned
- Control the vision kit: ensure what comes in and goes on projects is required
- Make sure all vision kit is packaged and asset labelled properly
- To attend training were applicable and to conduct own training were applicable
- To learn the usage of Xytech and its operation
- To work with Head of Operations and Head of Commercial to ensure training on Xytech is accomplished and achieved

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Good interpersonal skills, able to react tactfully and sympathetically to requests from OB teams
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
