An opportunity has arisen for a number of Food Production Operatives to join our team on a permanent, full time or part time basis. This is the ideal role for individuals who relish the opportunity to work as a part of a team in a factory environment.

As a Food Production Operative, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the production line processing and packing fish.

**The typical tasks will involve**:

- Working on production lines and completing various tasks including filleting, trimming, salting, grading and packing fish
- Operating machinery
- Working to tight deadlines with speed and accuracy with attention to detail
- Checking product quality, information on sleeves, packaging quality, etc
- Assisting with ensuring that the production plan is delivered on a daily basis, by following the production plan
- Ensuring that all work instructions and procedures are followed
- Some roles will require completion of paperwork
- Ensuring all waste is minimised
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards and ‘clean as you go’
- Understanding and complying with all the Health & Safety requirements

**To be considered for the role of Food Production Operative, you must have**:

- Good communication skills and ability to work as a team
- Being able to perform repetitive tasks
- Proactively work with and provide support and assistance to supervisors and other members of the team
- A reasonable standard of numeracy and literacy as the position would involve paperwork
- A willingness to undertake training as required
- The ability to carry out physical tasks which may involve lifting (20kg)
- To be willing and able to work in a cold environment
- To recognise, challenge and raise concerns to managers / supervisors if there is an issue with the product or machinery
