An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Children with Complex Disability Team. The team is well established and has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with children with complex needs. Clinical support and training will be provided while undertaking various duties. The role will involve work with the complex disabilities team to support delivery of Occupational Therapy and equipment reviews.
The team is based at The Millenium Centre in Leasowe however the majority of the work is carried out within the community in children's own homes and within Wirral School settings.
**Duties will include**:
Carrying out basic seating reviews, ordering, setting up and review of equipment.
Maintaining clear concise records and databases.
Assisting the OT's in complex reviews of equipment and home adaptations
Carrying a caseload of appropriate patients with direct supervision from an OT
Working within the home and school environment with remote supervision
House keeping duties
The paediatric team works together to provide a seamless approach across the acute and community paediatric service and to develop the service further in line with local and national guidelines.
The team work as an integrated part of the MDT and alongside partner organisations to provide a person centred approach to provision for children and young people.
