**_Financial Crime Lead Specialist & Deputy MLRO_**

We have a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Deputy MLRO, or an experienced person seeking their first Deputy MLRO role to join our team. In this role you will provide specialist support to not only ensure YBS meets its financial crime regulatory requirements, but also to help it achieves its strategic objectives. In addition to this, you will play a key role in helping the MLRO grow the 2LoD Financial Crime Oversight function as well as deputizing for the MLRO as needed.

**About the role**

In this role you will offer expert and strategic guidance to the business, including the Board and senior management, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial crime regulatory requirements.

You will have responsibility for all Financial Crime-related activities across both Compliance and Legal on behalf of the Director of Compliance, ensuring appropriate arrangements are in place and operating effectively. You will support the provision of advice to colleagues across YBS on the interpretation of regulatory requirements, through support to business stakeholder and strategic change projects.

You’ll support the preparation, review, and maintenance of policies, procedures and key reports such as the annual MLRO report and represent and play a key role in the development of colleague capability within Compliance and YBS.

**About you**

You must have working knowledge of financial crime concepts, including: anti-money laundering, fraud and counter-terrorist financing and have experience of the techniques used to mitigate and manage financial crime risks, including technology and systems knowledge.

A solid understanding of regulatory principles relevant to the Group, most notably those relating to financial crime legislation which deals with the identification, prevention, mitigation and management of financial crime risks, but also other regulators such as the FCA, PRA and ICO.

Having an ICA Compliance diploma in Money Laundering (or equivalent) qualification would be preferable, but we would consider those willing to study towards the achievement of this qualification.
