This is the PERFECT position for someone who wants to work with animals (especially dogs), fully confident and no allergies to animals. This is a customer service apprenticeship, with a VERY exciting twist

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Under the instruction of the director, care for the dogs within our day care environment, feed and water for all dogs in your care, exercise them, train and play time, administer medication to them when necessary, and groom them as directed.
- Clean, disinfect and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the day care centre.
- Carry out routine health checks on the dogs in your care and report any physical or behavioural changes to the director.
- Assist and implement behaviour/training programmes under the supervision of the director.
- Maintain daily reports and any other necessary paperwork. Ensure that these are written up clearly and updated daily.
- Report any faulty or damaged equipment to the director.
- Develop a close working relationship with colleagues at all levels.
- Carry out other duties as directed by the director to include dog walking, daily visits and pet sitting.

Maths, English and ICT, GCSE Grade 4-9 or equivalent

**Training**:
Maths and English to Level 2 required, if not already achieved

Ongoing assessment by the employer and provider - for example meetings with apprentice, employer and learning provider, observations of workplace, gathering evidence

Undertake a self-assessment in the last month of their apprenticeship to enable them to see whether they are confident that they have taken on board all aspects of the occupation. This self-assessment must be submitted to the independent end point assessor as a source of evidence to prepare for independent End Point Assessment which will include a showcase portfolio; a project; an employer reference and a structured interview about their portfolio and project.**Prospects**:
