Established over 30 years ago, Tops Day Nurseries and the Aspire Training Team, operate throughout the South of the UK, incorporating Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon.

**Key responsibilities**
- First point of contact for employee relation queries, ensuring these are responded to promptly.
- Provide an advisory service to managers and colleagues ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements within employment law.
- Interpreting and advising on employment law across all parts of the business.
- Deal with or advise on grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
- Manage and monitor turnover data and absence levels and hold meetings with individuals in relation to these areas to support the business.
- Identify colleague’s absence levels, report to line managers and HR Compliance Manager.
- Work with and support managers to ensure back to work meetings, absence monitoring, welfare meetings and GP requests are undertaken in line with company policy.
- Work in partnership with line managers to performance manage individuals
- Ensure Human Resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
- Work closely with HR Compliance Manager and colleagues across the business to monitor, review and update all policies and job descriptions in line with current legislation and best practice.
- Report on turnover figures to the HR Compliance Manager and work on initiatives to reduce in areas of concern.
- Undertake right to work audits and any concerns raised to the HR Compliance Manager.
- Assist the HR Compliance Manager to set up the company’s annual appraisal process.
- Assist the HR Compliance Manager with annual pay reviews, taking into consideration the Living and National Minimum Wage.
- Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
- Provide training for line managers, offering HR induction and training sessions to coach them.
- Report on key HR Advice matters, absence, turnover and Employ Law changes to Managers and Regional Managers at Regional meetings
- Undertake strategic and bespoke projects as request by the HR Compliance Manager.
- Employee Relations: Manage, advise performance, disciplinaries, grievances and sickness cases and levels, as well as turnover figures. Producing trends and analysis each quarter and when requested.
- Measure employee satisfaction, identify and action areas that require improvement.
- Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues.

**Requirements**:Knowledge, Experience, and Skills**
- CIPD Level 3, or experience providing HR Advice with a willingness to undertake CIPD
- Driving Licence and use of own vehicle as you will be required to support settings in person as and when needed, however main work base will based at The Hub or working from home.
- Excellent administrative skills
- Superb communication skills
- Experience of dealing and influencing with senior management
- Strong understanding of employment law
- Generalist HR experience within an HR environment
- Key experience of working with and advising managers
- Strong IT and administrative skills
- Team orientated and results focused
- Confidence to liaise across all levels of the business
