We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated individual to work as part of the Safeguarding, Mental Health & Wellbeing Team across all St Helens and Knowsley sites.
The role of **Safeguarding, Mental Health & Wellbeing Officer** will involve working with students who are experiencing personal or social issues that affects their wellbeing, and ability to deal with the current situation that they are experiencing. The role will involve supporting the student on either a short or long-term basis, whilst also assessing any requirement to refer to external agencies where appropriate.
The Safeguarding, Mental Health & Wellbeing Team also arrange extra-curricular College-wide events for students’ so the role will involve organising, setting up and monitoring of events.
- Hold GCSE level 4 or above English & Maths
- Level 3 Working Together to Safeguard Children or a willingness to achieve at earliest opportunity (Desirable)
- Mental Health First Aid qualification (Desirable)
- Have substantial experience working in a comparable job role
- Experience of dealing with young people with mental health issues
