Global Operations Risk Control & Security Operations Lead - TikTok Shop - EMEA **Location**: London Employment Type: Regular Job Code: A51836A **Responsibilities**: About the Team The TikTok E-commerce Governance and Experience team ensures our marketplace remains safe, trustworthy, and customer-centric across the globe. We protect users, sellers, and creators by designing policies, building systems, and managing operations that safeguard platform integrity. We are seeking a Risk Control & Security Operations Lead to oversee our risk management and fraud prevention operations in the EMEA region. Beyond managing investigations and escalations, this role plays a critical part in partnering with regional business teams to balance growth with trust and safety. You will bridge business objectives and risk control goals — ensuring solutions are pragmatic, scalable, and aligned with both user trust and commercial priorities. **Responsibilities**: 1. Lead and scale fraud/risk operations in EMEA, including detection, investigation, and mitigation of abuse. 2. Serve as the primary business partner to regional commercial and operations teams: understand their needs, identify potential risks, and co-develop solutions that enable safe growth. 3. Collaborate with Risk Strategy PMs and Risk Analytics teams to co-design and refine risk control strategies for the region. 4. Partner with Product, Data Science, and Policy teams to close system gaps, improve models, and design preventive workflows. 5. Monitor and report regional risk trends, highlight emerging threats, and proactively propose mitigations. 6. Oversee regulatory and law enforcement requests, ensuring compliance and accurate, timely submissions. 7. Act as the senior escalation point for high-impact fraud incidents, appeals, and disputes. 8. Build team capability by coaching specialists, setting clear KPIs, and fostering collaboration across global and regional teams. 9. Drive continuous improvement and automation to increase efficiency, resilience, and scalability of risk operations. **Qualifications**: Minimum Qualification(s) 1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Business, Law, or Data Analytics. 2. 5+ years in fraud operations, risk control, trust & safety, or related fields, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. 3. Proven success in balancing business enablement with risk control, and influencing senior business stakeholders. 4. Strong analytical and investigative mindset; experience working with risk models, data-driven insights, and strategy teams is highly valued. 5. Experience engaging with regulators or law enforcement. 6. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; able to build trust across both business and technical teams. Preferred Qualification(s) 1. Familiarity with SQL, Python, or equivalent tools is a plus. 2.
