**Stockport Kia**

**Mon-Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-4.30pm, Saturdays 1 in 3 on a rota basis.**

**Up to £32,000 basic salary plus £6000 uncapped bonus**

Lookers Kia of Stockport is recruiting for a Bodyshop Estimator to join the existing Bodyshop team to provide a professional and friendly service to our Lookers customers. Based in a separate dedicated building for Bodyshop/Cosmetic repairs round the corner from the retailer, the team is made up of 4 cosmetic repair technicians and 1 alloy wheel technician able to carry out painted and diamond cut wheels. You will be an integral part of starting the process of redeveloping the site and making it a state-of-the-art modern facility, heavily invested to provide a quality service for the surrounding areas.

Headed up by our fantastic management team Mark and Steven who between them share a wealth of experience within Lookers. You will ensure that customers’ vehicles are accurately and fully assessed for damage and the repairs that are required.

As a Bodyshop Estimator for our Stockport Bodyshop, you will be required to inspect and assess damage on vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage. You will ensure that authority to proceed with repairs to customers vehicles is obtained and documented before proceeding and ensure the efficient use of materials, equipment, and labour resources. You will also be responsible for welcoming customers to site, guaranteeing all visitors consistently receive a professional and courteous welcome.

**Responsibilities**:

- Compile accurate estimates of labour, paint and parts to repair or replace each damaged item using Lookers internal systems and processes.
- Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
- Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts.
- Liaise with Insurance Companies and prepare insurance forms to ensure all requirements have been met.
- Liaise with customers on work required and to keep them informed
- Liaise with internal managers/staff on work required on sales vehicles

Qualifications:
For this role we are looking for someone who ideally has previous experience as a Bodyshop Estimator/Controller with an independent Bodyshop or approved Repairer. You will need to have a full driving licence with a good driving record.

You will also be a team player with a strong attention to detail and a focus on quality looking after our customer needs

Kerridge experience preferred but not essential.
