We are working with a Social Housing provider who are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

This is a full time position, working on a hybrid basis with the requirement to attend the office once a week.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting you will ensure the delivery of accurate, consistent, and relevant financial information for both internal and external reporting, whilst producing annual statutory accounts for the organisations entities whichcomply with accounting standards.

Duties will include:

- Completing the year end audit with external auditors.
- Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are regularly reviewed and accurate.
- Day to day management of a financial accountant and financial assistant
- Income and expenditure
- Fixed Assets (including maintaining the fixed asset register for the organisation including all property, plant and equipment. Also including systems that allow the property assets to be reported at cost or valuation and all component accounting entriesto be recorded accurately)
- Development accounting, including loans and grants
- Cash and treasury
- Pensions
- Working with other directorates to ensure that changes in legislative requirements and business requirements are managed and supported. This may include (but is not restricted to) HR and payroll, Housing and Rents, Tenancy management.
- Ensuring that any financial risks highlighted within the business are raised with the senior team and are mitigated through effective management.
- Providing management information to the business partners, other directorates, executive and appropriate boards to aid decision making

We are looking for:

- ACMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant
- Proven experience of working in a similar role
- It would be advantageous if you have previously worked for a housing provider
