We currently have a vacancy for a Digital Installation Engineer to join our MPS / Smart Tech team in our Managed Print Services division. Commercial MPS is about much more than managing print: We are leading the way with digitisation and automation technologythat help to untangle people from time-consuming manual tasks.
**So what do you need to do?**
Our Smart Tech\Photocopier\Printer Installation Engineer will bevbased out of our Cheltenham head office and will be client facing for a variety of customers throughout the UK and occasionally Ireland. The position holder will report directly to the Installation& Operations Manager.
**You will**:
- Deliver, install, collect, and relocate various Smart Technology and Managed Print products including digital display signage, digital smart thermometers, metal work from digital displays, printers/photocopiers and many other tech products to clients acrossthe country and occasionally Ireland
- Install TV bracketry/framework onto walls using tools provided
- Provide cover for the workshop engineer by setting up & configuring Smart Tech products and printers as and when instructed by your line manager
- Follow the paperwork and daily schedule provided by your line manager
- Ensure equipment returns forms and delivery notes are scanned in at the end of each day
- Carry out site surveys as and when instructed by your line manager
- Assist the support team with service related visits, including onsite trouble shooting where required
- Produce training guides and videos for end users where and when appropriate utilising products within Commercial HQ
- Provide training to end users on the hardware, maintenance, and software where applicable
- Complete van checks weekly and ensure you always have the relevant tools and equipment on board, if any issues are found or equipment is needed please this must be reported to your line manager
**About you**:
- Basic knowledge of computing and networking (to the job will require you to be able to network and setup scanning on multi-functional printers, download and install print drivers and have the ability to build and upload software onto mini PC’s etc - trainingcan be provided but a good basic understanding will be needed)
- Proven experience in configuration, building and dismantling of technology products or worked in an IT/Engineering environment
- AV experience advantageous but not essential
- The ability to install products utilising tools provided i.e. power drill etc
- To be able to follow safety procedures at all times, working carefully and with great attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment
- The ability to work as part of team and individually
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation
- Able to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
- The ability to manage a busy workload and to prioritise
**You will also have**:
- A full UK driving licence and ability to drive a van up to 3.5t
- Willing to work overtime where workload deems necessary (time and half in the week, double time if any weekend work is required)
- Willing to work evenings if and when workload requires
- Must be able to stay away where logístically needed with 3-5 days’ notice
