You will be highly organised and able to respond effectively to challenging situations, be able to work at pace and be focused on solving problems maintaining a positive approach in all conversations by adopting a “strengths based” approach in line with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act.

There will be new challenges every day and you will need to be resilient and focused on solving problems. In return you will be supported to attend training and development opportunities and will be in regular contact with a whole range of services and organisations to ensure you are able to provide “What Matters” to the person.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives and be in a role where you will gain all the support and training you need, including daily management support and benefit from excellent terms and conditions. The role requires data inputting and therefore computer skills will be an advantage, systems training will be provided.

The Department has recently introduced a ‘Grow Your Own’ programme which gives employees the opportunity to work towards gaining a Social Care Assessor, Social Work or Occupational Therapist qualification.
