We have an exciting opportunity to work as a Skilled Track Operative, within the Signals Point Care Team. You will deliver planned inspection and maintenance as directed: safely, in accordance with your training, and compliant with track maintenance standards. You will act as in charge when required in accordance with company guidelines.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensuring all routine skilled track maintenance activities are undertaken in accordance with London Underground policy and procedures and legislative requirements
- Undertaking Protection Workers on Track Engineering Hours and Site Person In Charge duties as required, ensuring that the company’s rules and regulations are followed
- Operating relevant mechanical plant and equipment once certified
- In order to carry out these tasks effectively, you will be required to demonstrate competence to the given standards
- In addition, you should be willing to undertake such Point Care duties and tasks that the management deems necessary and are within the individual’s capability
- You will be required to liaise and co-operate as directed with other groups, departments and contractors as necessary for the achievement of work tasks and programs
- Support Point Care activities and undertake the duties of an operative in line with accountable team leads and that which may be reasonably required by management

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**

**Skills**
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills (Essential)
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and meet the required medical standards for the role (Essential)
- Good communication skills (Essential)
- Literate and numerate (Essential)
- Basic IT Skills (Desirable)

**Knowledge**
- Hold or ability to hold a Protection Worked on Track (PWT-EH) certificate (Essential)
- Hold or have ability to obtain IRSE license cat 1.4.100 (Assistant Signalling Maintainer) (Essential)
- In-depth knowledge of track components and track maintenance procedures (Desirable)
- Possess a clean, manual full driving license and be willing to drive company vehicles as required (Essential)

**Experience**
- Experience in using heavy machinery, plant and power tools (Essential)
- Experience of working in a team environment; to tight deadlines (Essential)
- Previous track maintenance experience (Desirable)
- Previous experience of working on point systems (Desirable)

**The shift pattern for this role is Sunday to Thursday nights, 23:00 to 06:30 (35 hours).**

**This is a safety critical role so you will need to get clearance from our Occupational Health team before you start.**
