**Senior DevOps Engineer -Remote Working From Anywhere Within The UK -Salary £45,000 - £50,000 Plus Benefits**

This successful International Software corporate in Birmingham, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to work remotely from anywhere within the UK, to join their growing delivery group.

Working primarily within a multi-cloud environment (AWS and Azure), the Senior DevOps Engineer will require a broad technical knowledge across a number of domains (i.e. Server Administration, virtualisation, storage, networks, etc) and have strong knowledgeof IAC based deployments.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be an experienced and pragmatic problem solver with a track record of successfully implementing complex solutions and be a confident and effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

Working collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate the systems, help to automate and streamline operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, including troubleshooting and resolvingissues in the dev, test and production environments.

Broadly this encompasses:

- Designing, coding, testing, correcting and documenting moderately complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools.
- Conducting reviews of supplied specifications, both individually and as part of a group - as part of a defined process (Fagan inspections, Sprint Retrospectives etc).
- Administering configuration items (CIs) and related information, ensuring protection of assets and components from unauthorised change, diversion and inappropriate use.
- Using the tools and techniques for specific areas of release and deployment activities.
- Using system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics. Carrying out agreed system software maintenance tasks.
- Working with the Information Security business function to investigate, advise upon, and resolve minor security breaches in accordance with established procedures.
- Assisting users in defining their access rights and privileges and operating agreed logical access controls and security systems.
- Carrying out operational procedures, including network configuration, installation and maintenance.
- Using network management tools to collect and report on network load and performance statistics.

**Preferred Skills & Experience**:

- Strong DevOps experience across Dev, Test & Production environments
- Hands-On Technical experience of AWS & Azure Cloud (AWS Bias useful)
- Broad technical knowledge across Server Administration, Virtualisation, Storage, Databases, Networks etc
- Good knowledge & experience with IAC deployments
- Proven ability to tackle complex infrastructure, systems, networks and security
- Good Automation & Containerisation tools experience
- The ability to develop, maintain and administer tooling to increase engineering productivity
