Age Cymru are the national charity for older people across Wales. Their vision is an age friendly Wales where older people enjoy good health, live safely, be active in their communities and are free from discrimination.

To help maintain the charity's fantastic work in influencing positive change in health and social care for older people, Age Cymru are now recruiting for a **Policy and Campaigns Officer** to join their friendly and supportive team on a **6 - monthFixed Term Contract**.

Utilising their excellent influencing skills and knowledge of Health and Social Care policy, the successful applicant will support the charity's influencing work, helping to ensure the effective delivery of health and social care policy and campaigns.

As part of this multi-faceted role, you will implement Age Cymru health campaign plans, develop and maintain relationships with external partners and organisations, and maintain a resource of accurate, up to date information on issues effecting older people.

This position offers hybrid working between home and Age Cymru's Cardiff based office, located close to City Centre and surrounded by excellent amenities. This post will also involve regular travel across Wales.

**You will have**:

- An excellent knowledge of the Health and Social Care agenda in Wales, coupled with excellent knowledge of issues affecting older people.
- Excellent written communication skills to support the development of publications and reports.
- Experience delivering public campaigns and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Excellent influencing skills and the ability to work in partnership with other agencies including statutory and voluntary organisations.
- The ability to speak fluent Welsh (beneficial but is not essential).
