Job Title: Construction Tutor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Tutor to join our college faculty. As a Construction Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to students pursuing construction-related programs, helping them develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the construction industry. This is a full-time position based at our college campus.

**Responsibilities**:

- Delivering instruction on various aspects of construction, including but not limited to construction techniques, safety protocols, blueprint reading, and construction management.
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the learning needs of diverse students.
- Conducting assessments and providing constructive feedback to students to help them improve their performance and achieve their learning goals.
- Developing and updating instructional materials, resources, and assessments to enhance the quality of instruction.
- Demonstrating and promoting safe work practices, including the proper use of tools, equipment, and protective gear.
- Providing guidance and support to students in career planning, job readiness, and job search strategies.
- Monitoring and documenting student attendance, progress, and performance, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborating with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, safety protocols, blueprint reading, and construction management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Proficient in using technology for instruction and assessment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with college-level curriculum and instructional design.
- Relevant industry certifications, such as OSHA, LEED, or other construction-related certifications, are preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £15.54-£33.29 per hour
