**Job Overview**

Humly North East are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable **Construction Tutor** to join one of our SEN secondary school's team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled construction professional or qualified tutor to support learners in developing hands-on trade skills, with a potential path to permanent employment.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and theory-based construction training to learners (typically aged 16+ or adults) who are pursuing careers in the construction industry. You’ll help equip them with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications required to succeed.

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of each student.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and learning objectives.
- Assess students’ progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to build students’ confidence and motivation.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children of varying ages.
- Familiarity with special education practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £120.00-£150.00 per day
