Role Purpose: To operate Factory Machinery including both Manual & CNC machinery in a safe and efficient manner and to the required specification as part of the steel fabrication team
**What you'll be doing**
- Operate both CNC and Manual equipment to fabricate steelwork
- Operate as part of a team undertaking tasks as required
- Operate within the Fabrication, Bundling & Overhead Line Stores area moving materials and general duties as required to support all Operations
- Work safely at all times following risk assessments and work instructions and maintain a clean working environment
- Embrace our Zero Harm approach to safety
- Produce quality product in line with business Quality Management System
- Work effectively and efficiently to meet Production demands
- Contribute to our Continuous Improvement approach and actively help to reduce waste in our processes
- Undertake any other duties as required
**Who we're looking for**
- Willingness to learn and embrace new ideas
- Ability to work as part of a team and be self-motivated
- Able to use air and electric hand tools, grinders, etc.
- Able to read drawings and understand and complete documentation relating to processes within the workplace
- Have a good understanding of Health and Safety and can maintain and safe and clean working environment
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- Experience in a Steel Fabrication environment
- Experience in working in a Factory environment using CNC/Manual machinery
- Experience in the operation of overhead cranes and plant
- Experience in Forklift truck and telehandler operations
- Computer literate to read stock sheets desired
