I am currently working with the **HPRA**, to recruit for a **Medical Device Inspector** to join them on a 3 year fixed term contract.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Planning and conducting inspections of manufacturers and other operators as part of the **HPRA market surveillance activities** for medical devices.
- Execution of inspections relating to designation of notified bodies for medical devices in Ireland
- Execution of inspections arising from the ongoing surveillance and monitoring programme for Notified Bodies, including observation of audits conducted by the Notified Bodies.
Your role as **Medical Device Inspector** will be to identify and evaluate issues at sites inspected, nationally and internationally, to ensure compliance of all devices on the market to national and European regulations.
You will work cross functionally across the Medical Device Department, with other departments of the HPRA and with external stakeholders, and will coordinate the inspection teams required to undertake specific activities, including technical, clinical orregulatory support.
You will also play a key role in medical device planning & priorities activities and policy and guidance development, providing technical advice and inputs as required.

This role is a 3 year fixed term contract, although there is a strong possibility of this being extended.
**Benefits**:
The starting salary for this role is €64,614, and will operate on a public Sector incremental scale.
You will also be eligible to participate in the Single Public Service Pension Scheme.
The HPRA offer a hybrid working model that allows for up to 2 days per week remote working.
As of the 1st of July, they will also reduce their weekly working hours from 37 hours to 35 hours, allowing you to have a better work life balance.
**Requirements**:
To be eligible for this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry. Auditing experience in medical devices or related healthcare industry with a strong working knowledge of the regulatoryenvironment and relevant quality and technical standards is essential.
As this role will require travel to sites for inspection, you must hold a full Irish drivers license.
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in engineering or a related scientific discipline is also required.
