**Job Title**:Council Tax Officer

**Job Reference**:TCN/CTO

Venn Group is working closely with multiple Local Authorities in Staffordshire who are looking for a Council Tax Officer with strong Council Tax experience and knowledge of the Northgate System.

**Duties**:

- Be responsible for all aspects of Council Tax including Billing, Collection and Recovery
- Set up and close council tax accounts
- Handle attachment of benefits and attachment of earnings
- Set up payment arrangements and deal with payment allocations and transfers
- Run all required recovery notices such as reminders, summonses and 14 day letters
- Be responsible for dealing with payment enquiries on summonsed and un-summonsed accounts
- Professionally liaise with bailiffs
- Systems Used**:Northgate
**The successful applicant will need to have experience working as a Council Tax Officer in a Local Authority

**Hourly Rate**:£27 per hour through an Umbrella Cmpany
