**External Editorial Reviewer**:_
Up to five days’ work, £2,000 honorarium, reporting to the board of trustees_

Full Fact, the independent fact checking charity, is seeking an independent person or people with experience of rigorous analysis and effective communication to conduct a critical review of the editorial content we’ve published and report on its strengths, weaknesses, and compliance with our operating standards to help us find ways we can improve our work.

The Editorial Reviewer role is an important way of safeguarding Full Fact’s quality and effectiveness, and you will be making a substantial and lasting contribution to our work.

This is a short term engagement reviewing a selection of our published content from the past year. There is no need to be available at set times.

We are seeking someone with:

- Proven political neutrality, or at least a demonstrable ability to set aside your personal political convictions
- The capacity to work independently to reach considered impartial judgements
- Skilled in giving effective feedback
- Understanding of public debate in the UK and sensitivity to the political context we work in
- Understanding of how information spreads through the media and online
- The confidence to question and challenge stakeholders as well as the experience to develop recommendations that will help us improve our work

We would be glad to hear from people with particular expertise in one topic area relevant to our work. We may choose to ask more than one person to take part to get a breadth of skills or experience to reflect the breadth of Full Fact’s work.

Your report will go to Full Fact’s Board of Trustees, which includes senior supporters of the main political parties and senior journalists. It is expected to shape how we operate in future so we do want to recruit carefully.
