Job description

Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner, directing inquiries to the appropriate member of staff.
- Work effectively in a team-driven environment.
- Respond quickly and professionally to various situations, including handling client dissatisfaction.
- Coordinate all aspects of interpreter bookings across a variety of services including face to face interpreting, telephone interpreting, video interpreting, & British Sign Language.
- Allocate bookings through various means, including outbound calls.
- Handle requests for information and data.
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy.
- Be available for on-call duties on a rota basis, which may include some weekends and evening work.
- Assist with resolving client and linguist concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience, education, and skills Essential:

- Call centre/customer service or admin experience
- Excellent computer literacy including Outlook and MS Office, as well as the ability to learn new software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Pro-active and self-motivated
- Capable of handling high call volumes
- Target driven
- Team player

Desirable:

- Knowledge of other languages may be an advantage
- Knowledge or experience of the language service industry
- Booking/project coordination experience
- Any relevant qualifications (e.g Customer Service Specialist Standard Course, Business Admin)

up to £23,000 depending on experience
