We are a leading construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure and building projects across multiple sectors. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to appoint a proactive and organised Project Planner to join our Planning Team. This role focuses on the delivery stage of projects, working closely with site teams to ensure programmes are realistic, maintained, and reflective of actual progress on the ground.
**Role Overview**
The Project Planner will play a key role in supporting the delivery of one or more construction projects, from mobilisation through to handover. You will be responsible for managing live project programmes, engaging with site teams to capture real-time updates, attending site meetings, and producing accurate progress reports. The role demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Project Delivery**
- Maintain and update live project programmes in Primavera P6
- Work with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect accurate progress data
- Attend regular site meetings and walkarounds to validate physical progress against programme
- Preparation of Clause 31 and 32 schedules, including programme narratives and impact assessments with the potential for quotation programmes
- Carry out critical path analysis and identify potential risks and opportunities to improve programme performance
- Develop short-term look-ahead programmes and recovery strategies when needed
- Manage and coordinate programmes across multiple projects (if required), ensuring consistency and quality of planning outputs
- Ability to understand and interpret contract requirements
**Programme Reporting & Coordination**
- Produce and maintain clear, timely reports and dashboards for both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support the commercial team by linking programme data to earned value, delay analysis, or extension of time submissions
- Monitor float, constraints, and milestones to ensure early warning of slippage or risk
- Liaise with subcontractors to integrate their input into master programmes
- Reviewing resource utilisation to maximise productivity and efficient project delivery.

- Work the planning team to provide support where appropriate and mentor assistant planners.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in a planning role within a live project delivery environment
- Proficient in Primavera P6
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction data
- Experience working with site-based teams and communicating across multiple disciplines
- Able to manage and prioritise workloads across multiple projects if required
- Strong IT and reporting skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Full UK driving licence (if travel to multiple sites is expected)
