The Business Improvement Support Advisor role is based within our Devonport Royal Dockyard business area.

Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines. Devonport has also recently been selected as the base port for the Navy’s new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.

**The role**
**The difference our new Business Improvement Support Advisor will make**
As a Business Improvement Support Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role offers a great insight into the submarine domain, with you gaining a broad knowledge and experience of submarine platforms. You will obtain robust working experience within a project management function as well as getting exposure to the business liaising with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
Day to day, you’ll play a supporting role in ensuring work packages meet objectives to time, cost and quality. Liaising with personnel who work within the respective process. You will support on the changes to business processes, systems and technology.

This role provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home. For the first 3 months, you will need to be on site 5 days a week.
**Essential experience**
- Experience/knowledge of working in business improvement, preferably with a focus on business change projects/initiatives, including people, process and technology change.
- Effective organisational and time-management skills
- Communication skills with the ability to collaborate with wider teams.
- Present and articulate findings in a clear and professional format
- Strong computer literacy including tools-of-the-trade such as MS Office Packages
- You must hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance, NNPPI and ITAR. You must be a British National.
