**Finance Projects & Change Lead**
**What is the key purpose of this role?**
**Job Purpose**
The Finance Projects & Change Lead is a crucial role in the Finance Change Programme in delivering key improvement projects in the programme. Key accountabilities of the role include:
- delivering projects in the Business Protection programme workstream to optimise business process, improve financial control and enhance business continuity capability
- defining data structures and creating and implementing data quality standards to drive standardisation, business insight and efficiency.
**What are the key deliverables and accountabilities of the role?**
**Key Expectations of the Job Holder**
- Assess and optimise key finance processes: conduct 'deep dive' process assessments of core Finance process cycles to identify 'pain points' / issues and improvement opportunities re: standardisation, simplification and systemisation - document process cycles to include in policies and procedures documentation
- Improve data quality: create standardised master data structures in the finance systems including a global Chart of Accounts to enable data driven decision making and more efficient month end close. Formalise, document and communicate the methodology and sources of data.
- Control Framework: design, document and implement a control framework for Finance, and embed into BAU.
- Finance Manual: lead the creation and completion of a Finance Manual for all Finance processes (process maps, procedure notes, RACI and RACM)
- Define the list of Finance processes and propose RACI for implementation
- Policy and procedure improvements: Identify areas requiring improved policy and procedure definition and create and implement as required eg. cost allocations
- Delivery of other programme projects as required
