We are currently looking for a high performing finance analyst to play an integral role in our team to support the Operational finance team of the Consumer division to identify and implement key efficiency's and improvements within the Business Unit. Thepurpose of the role is to act as the finance analyst for a Prestigious Customer.

**Description**
- Producing a variety of Revenue and cost reports that are used to produce weekly and monthly figures.
- Analysing the data to understand variances and work with the operational accountant to identify risks & opportunities to improve financial results.
- Producing accurate and detailed weekly finance reports and set of accounts.
- Use a detailed set of KPI's as business performance driver to improve the performance of the business.
- Reporting on revenue and cost trends and variances to support operations.
- Undertake nominal ledger tasks including processing of journals, nominal ledger cross-charges and period end reconciliations.
- Ensure all open book costs are captured in line with the contract obligations and recovered under the open book agreement.
- To liaise with other departments as required ensuring the reporting deadlines of the organisation are met.
- Ensure financial controls are in place to make sure interim and year-end financial accounts are accurate, working with external auditors in a professional manner when required.
- Development and Preparation of Open Book reconciliations.
- To provide support in a number of general, non-specific areas to maintain the success of the business and on ad-hoc projects as they arise.
- To provide holiday cover for various Business Units.

**Interfaces**
- Liaise with Directors, General Managers, Regional Managers, Business Unit Finance representatives, Central Finance Team and employees at all levels within the organisation.

**Profile**

**Core**
- Studying towards AAT/CIMA
- Equivalent of 5 GCSE grade 'C' or above
- GCSE grade 'C' or above in Maths and English

**Core**
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office with **Strong** Excel skills.
- Practical experience of financial analysis and reporting.

**Desirable**
- Operational accounting experience.
- Experience of working within the Logistics industry.
