**Job description**:
**Do you want to expand your skills as a healthcare professional to include providing Complex Clinical Care, or do you already have Complex Care experience?**

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support our services user who is living with his family in Accrington.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to support a toddler on a 1:1 basis during the day for regular Saturdays.

Our service user is a very active young boy that attends school during the week. He has lots of energy and likes when his care team can participate in play time.

He can at times display some challenging behaviours, however this is easily managed through positive praise and distraction.

During the day you will be supporting within the community or the service user’s own home. Duties may include but are not limited to carrying out personal care, medication administration and any social activities.

He is currently learning Makaton and will communicate with his care team through this method.

**Essential Experience Required**
- 3 Months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration

**Desirable Experience, but not essential as training would be given**
- Handling challenging behaviour
- Gastrostomy Care (PEG)
- Bowel Management

**We have the following shift available**
- Part time Days
- Regular Saturday (continuous basis)
- 6 hour shift
