A leading technology services business, headquartered in London, is seeking a highly-motivated Programme Manager to fulfil an exciting permanent role within the business, helping drive major projects and programmes, vital to the future success of the business.
Reporting to the Director of IT Operations this not to be missed Programme Manager role has arisen due to continued growth in the business and the strengthening of the Technology division of the business, as it embarks on a major global transformation programme.
As Programme Manager, you will be reponsible for managing a diverse, global stakeholder group, which will require management, utilising influencing and advanced communications skills.
The Programme Manager will be able to work on a hybrid basis from the London office and home.
The Programme Manager will:
- Deliver the group's wide, multi work-stream portfolio of strategic programmes & projects, gaining executive and organisational buy in and establishing a suitable governance framework in line with the agreed Ways of Working
- Drive the design, development, delivery and management of project related communications and training
- Work with regions and supporting functions including Technology, People and Operations to create a roadmap of strategic programmes, aligned and prioritised in order to deliver the company's strategic growth strategy outlining key milestones, phases anddependencies
- Bring best practice thinking and translate it into understandable and actionable plans
- Co-ordinate and drive the delivery of programmes from inception to completion, taking responsibility for their overall integrity and coherence
- In collaboration with IT and Procurement, manage vendor selection process (including RFPs and Pricing) and manage against deliverables (including SOWs, change management, approval of deliverables)
- Partner with internal and external development teams to deliver on time and with the quality required
- Ensure all business systems, IT systems, partner platforms and networks are in place to support the offer and that the technical design accurately represents the requirements
- Provide best practice and consultative service offerings
- Take a pragmatic approach to driving the efficient and timely completion of multiple programmes & projects, working with business leaders to identify project delivery risks and issues, supporting the formulation of practical mitigation strategies and escalatingkey issues to support timely resolution
- Have in place a consolidated portfolio of methodologies, processes, tools, & resources needed to effectively realise the programmes & projects
- Implement policies, system monitors and controls to ensure the successful management and reporting of individual programmes & projects
- Establish, maintain and communicate progress of programmes & projects throughout their lifecycle via a dashboard that provides insights and reports for the relevant governance boards
- Identify and define the measures required to track the readiness, impact and benefits of the programmes & projects and monitor progress
- Attend and lead portfolio and project meetings where required
- Create and maintain scorecards to track vendor and partner performance
- Accountable for on time product delivery, product quality, cost, and operations.
- Focus on continuous quality assurance for the successful delivery of all programmes & projects, developing an evaluation method to assess programme strengths, identifying issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
- Identify any constraints or threats that may impact the ability of the portfolio to deliver the required business benefits
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness with which projects are delivered across the organisation
- Gather, analyse and interpret programme adoption data and formulate recommendations
- Manage senior level relationships - building and nurturing cross-portfolio stakeholder relationships and bridging the gap between the implementation of programmes & projects and business operations
