Antenatal Administration Support
Kingston Maternity Service is a popular unit caring and delivering over 5800 women every year. The Antenatal Administration support and reception team are an essential component of our service. Ensuring service users have timely appointments made; queries responded to and feel welcomed when they use our service.
The post holder will provide a high quality administration skill set for women attending Kingston Hospital and outreach sites for Antenatal services.
You will be expected to accurately records patient attendance details and manage the scheduling of follow up appointments across a range of specialities in line with Kingston Hospital’s Policy.
If you are a friendly individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a receptionist / customer service advisor, and have a NVQ II in reception / administration or equivalent knowledge / experience, we would like you to join our team.
Good IT skills and an excellent telephone manner are vital to this role. You will be required to communicate in a professional manner with a range of professionals within the maternity team, such as midwives, obstetricians and sonographers among others.
You will be responsible for liaising directly with our women and their relatives, managing enquiries via the telephone and in person. You will also regularly undertake general administrative and filing duties.
Necessary training will be provided including an orientation programme.
