An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Development Finance Partner to join a Housing Association based in Poole, Dorset on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting and important opportunity for a talented and experienced accountant to play an integral role in the current development plans the business.This role will have a particular focus on Central & Cecil Housing Trust’s (C&C) development programme,a subsidiary company.Reporting into the Finance Head of Development, you’ll have significant experience in complex business planning and housing development with an excellent grasp of financial models, systems, and planning tools.Passionate about developmentfinance, you’ll be a key driving force for our projects in Housing and Care; demonstrating your strong organisational skills and aptitude to articulate and present financial information in clear and concise terms.While reporting formally to the businessesFinance Head of Development, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director of C&C.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Formulate, assess, and deliver developments and ensure that they are accurately appraised
- Support the delivery of the finance team plan and contribute to the budget and forecasting process
- Develop successful working relationships with external development partners
- Have significant experience in developing appraisals with a wide range of IT systems including Brixx, Podplan and Proval.
- Proven experience in development accounting, with the ability to ensure effective and accurate reporting and forecasting
- Reporting and management of cashflow forecasts for internal and external reporting
- Provision of tax and accounting input into development schemes
- Develop and monitor financial procedures and policies to ensure that information is delivered to tight deadlines
- Liaise with auditors during the year end audit process on development related issues
- Keep up to date with developments in housing and Housing Associations including legislation affecting housing finance
- Keep up to date with developments in housing and care including legislative & regulatory changes and sector trends

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Qualified Accountant and member of a CCAB body (CIMA, ICAEW, ACCA)
- Financial appraisal and knowledge of scheme development
- Strong business partnering and management reporting skills
- Strong project management skills, drive and energy
- Ability to independently problem solve and manage projects to resolution
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Reporting to senior management and board in clear and concise terms, with consideration given to different levels of experience and understanding
- Robust risk management approach
- Knowledge of financial planning tools and development appraisal systems (e.g. Brix/PodPlan/Proval)
- Ability to work flexibly and manage own workload to meet both team and business objectives; this role will require occasional travel to other Group offices
