Pacis Care Group Limited is a values-led organisation dedicated to providing safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments for children and young people. We are now recruiting passionate and resilient **Senior Support Workers** and **Support Workers** to join our team in one of our newly opened children’s homes based in **Northampton**.
**About the Role**:
As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in the **day-to-day care and development** of children with emotional and behavioural needs. You’ll work closely with the team to provide structure, consistency, and high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment.
As a **Senior Support Worker**, you will also take on additional leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior staff, supporting care planning, and ensuring high standards of practice are upheld.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Build **positive relationships** with children and young people aged 8-17
- Provide **emotional, behavioural, and practical support**:
- Encourage healthy routines, education, and personal development
- Assist with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and outings
- Safeguard and promote the **welfare of every child**:
- Work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins (additional payment for sleep-ins)
- For Senior Support Workers: lead shifts, complete reports, and contribute to care planning
**Requirements**:
**For Support Workers**:
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (preferred but not essential)
- Willingness to complete Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held)
- Passion for making a difference in young lives
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be 21 or over (due to regulatory requirements)
- Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check
**For Senior Support Workers**:
- **Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare** (or equivalent)
- **1+ years experience** in a children's residential setting
- Confident in leading shifts and guiding others
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
