**JOB ROLE**

The **Global Market Access Capability Lead** is responsible for developing compelling IT product offerings that the Global Market Access Functions in GMAP/OMAP/Alexion and ex-US markets can use to develop and implement their pricing, value and access strategies.

The product roadmaps must be ambitious and aligned to the defined business objectives. The _Global Market Access Capability Lead_ is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the offering and partnering closely with the Platform Teams, Enterprise Architecture, regional and market leads. The role must act as a product manager, listening to the needs of the global Market Access functions and markets, and setting the direction of the product offering that will deliver the most value. The right balance must be found between alignment and differentiation between BioPharma, Oncology and Rare Disease.

The _Global Market Access Capability Lead_ will be required to work in a matrix environment, using OSPs and resources across multiple internal teams in order to deliver the required outcomes.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Engage with relevant business functions, platform delivery leads, regional teams and capability peers to understand the current and forecast future needs of the domains to develop a robust pipeline of platform features for Global Market Access capabilities.
- Act as the product owner of the Global Market Access capabilities. This role must ensure a rich and prioritized backlog that is communicated optimally to the various interested audiences (e.g., business teams, SSD, IT domain partners)
- Conduct research, guide proof of concepts, attend industry conferences, engage in internal and external peer networking to represent develop a capability roadmap and representative product roadmaps.
- Operational accountabilities include:

- Ensures that appropriate curricula are maintained and available in the LMS (Learning Management System) to train new users in the use of GPI platforms e.g. PRICE
- Plans and handles upgrades to Global Market Access platforms.
- Plans and handles the technical aspects of the annual Simulation cycle.
- Business Case Definition - Shapes and defines the business case, producing detailed business justification for investment including value and benefits realization.
- Solution Evaluation - Highly proficient in analysing and assessing solution proposals and able to articulate supporting reasoning. i.e. assessing business readiness, improving value vs. spend.
- Partner closely with the other capability leaders to influence their roadmaps and pull through relevant capabilities.
- Partner closely with team members in EU/CAN, US BBU, US OBU, International and Japan, to craft the roadmap with relevant and compelling features for the diverse market needs.
- Collaborate closely with the US Market Access Capability Lead to drive commonalities and alignment where appropriate.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Degree level education in computer science or a degree and relevant work experience
- Experience running global platforms/products
- Excellent communication skills and partner influence
- Understanding of analytics practices and business intelligence products
- Ability to build a community for customer success
- Experience in the Market Access domain within Commercial Pharma
- Ability to understand Commercial business strategies and decompose them to software features
- Ability to network internally and externally to develop forward looking roadmaps
- Ability to influence senior team members to adopt the IT consumption strategy
- Ability to communicate the roadmap and connect the feature progression to the desired business outcomes
