**About Wing Yip**
Wing Yip is the UK’s leading Oriental food retailer, proudly serving trade and retail customers for over 35 years. We operate four retail stores and a Central Distribution Centre, supported by a team of around 370 dedicated employees.

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are currently seeking motivated individuals to join the team at our newly refurbished Nechells store.

**Position Overview - Based at Croydon Store**
We are recruiting for a full-time position at our Croydon store, focused on supporting warehouse operations and stock control.

Your responsibilities will include handling internal orders and inter-branch transfers using our warehouse management system (Korber), conducting cycle counts, and maintaining accurate stock levels across both the warehouse and sales floor.

This hands-on role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, pays close attention to detail, and can adapt to changing priorities. Flexibility with working hours is essential, as occasional out-of-hours stock checks may be required.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Customer Service & Product Handling**
- Deliver excellent customer service and contribute to a positive shopping experience
- Replenish shelves promptly and ensure displays are well-stocked and tidy
- Rotate stock efficiently to minimise waste and maintain freshness
- Maintain accurate pricing and proper product presentation
- Follow food safety procedures, especially for chilled and frozen items
- Keep all work areas clean, safe, and well-organised

**Stock Management & Control**
- Ensure inventory records are accurate and investigate any discrepancies
- Address stock shortages, damages, or data issues promptly
- Work closely with warehouse and store teams to manage stock movement
- Accurately label and store goods upon receipt
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc physical inventory checks
- Respond efficiently to internal and external stock-related queries
- Oversee movement of goods between store and off-site storage

**Health, Safety & Team Support**
- Follow health and safety procedures and report any risks
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly
- Support colleagues and assist customers as needed
- Maintain food hygiene standards and store cleanliness
- Assist in replenishment and support other departments when required
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management

**Personal Development**
- Show commitment to ongoing learning and skill development
- Follow established stock control procedures consistently

**Skills & Experience**
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
- Experience using warehouse management systems (Korber experience is a plus)
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work well under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexible and responsive to operational needs
