**Salary**: £23,349 - £25,489pa
(37 hours per week) Monday to Friday
Ideally you will have an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
This role will be critical in supporting, developing and executing a calendar of events across the year, as it aims to increase engagement with young people, adults, partners and funders.
**The person & qualifications**
- Strong event planning and management experience with a background working across a range of sizes and styles of events, eg launches, awards, business breakfasts
- Evidence of building relationships and managing the needs and expectations of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience evaluating and reporting on the success of events
- Experience of being responsible for managing event budgets for clients or your own organisation
- Degree or equivalent in an events or marketing related discipline
- Experience of working in a further or higher education setting (desirable)
**Duties**
- Work with the team to develop a programme of events
- Be heavily involved in the delivery of all events by planning, coordinating and evaluating all event activity, including (but not limited to) open events, graduation, student awards, business breakfasts, Freshers’ Week and much more
- Set measurable metrics and targets for all key events, and report on these as agreed
- Ensure all work is delivered on time and to a high standard
- Work collaboratively with departments across the College and build strong relationships to ensure the effective delivery of events
- Develop partnerships with external stakeholders to improve the delivery of cross-organisation events and the attendance of key people and organisations (where applicable)
- Events may require working unsociable hours and responding quickly to issues under time / schedule pressure but all time accrued will be re-paid in lieu
- The post holder will be required to transport equipment and materials, and set up for events and ensure merchandise is well stocked, organised and maintained.
