The Business Support Officer role provides specialist administration support to the Adult Services and Wellbeing Directorate. The priority for this post will be to support the MCA/Dols (Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty) Team.

The post holder will support the Directorate by providing a range of administrative support, which includes daily screening of referrals and allocation, responding to enquiries from both internal and external customers and liaising with providers via telephone / email. Planning and coordination of meetings and events, circulating agenda papers, minute taking and ensuring follow up actions are progressed. You will also be expected to maintain up to date accurate information on computerised records and systems to produce reports and documents in line with corporate standards.

There will be an expectation that the post holder will develop knowledge and skills regarding the various business support sections across the Adults Directorate which will enable the post holder to work in any area depending upon service need and priorities.

The successful applicant will have excellent keyboard skills, proven minute taking skills and be able to prioritise their own workload, whilst working as part of a very busy team. Excellent communication and customer care skills are also essential. We are working in a flexible way, which includes working from home and the office. Which will be dependent upon business need.
