We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual who has an interest in working in primary education (ages 3-11 years). We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils within our vision "to learn and grow together to be the best that we can be". **About the role**: You will be based in KS 2 primarily, but may need to cover in other year groups. You will prepare and deliver activities to children assisting them to access the curriculum as directed by the class teachers and provide appropriate health, safety, welfare, emotional and behavioral support for the children. Be part of a team, contribute to providing a warm and welcoming environment within the school where children and carers can feel valued and obtain positive help and support from a range of activities. The post receives direction from and is accountable to the senior members of staff. **Apprenticeship Summary** - You will be working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (16 month duration). - 32.5 hrs p/w, (Term Time only) 39 weeks per year. - £8,948 per annum actual. - Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated 3rd best training provider across UK) - Remote/ Blended form of learning, all delivered online via your LMP Education Tutor. **Main Activities** **Learning support**: - Support children’s learning as directed, in line with the National Curriculum, to foster independence and self-esteem. - Discuss and interact with children using language relevant to the curriculum. **Support for pupils**: - Provide children with support as specified by the teaching team - Identify and report uncharacteristic behaviour patterns in children and report these to the DSL. - Support the movement of small groups of children throughout the School, ensuring their safety - Encourage and reinforce positive interactions between children. - Assist with the supervision of children, for example, as they arrive/leave. - Provide comfort as appropriate and arrange immediate care for minor accidents, upsets and ailments and report all problems and perceived instances of danger or risk to health to a Supervisor. **Support to teacher**: - Contribute to record-keeping eg provide relevant verbal information to contribute to the planning and review of children’s learning, records and reports. - Undertake routine administrative tasks - Sort and tidy cupboards, report loss/damage and low stock. - Cleaning up both inside and outside. - Assist in day-to-day management of the learning environment, e.g. preparing/clearing learning resources; reporting damaged/faulty items to the supervisor **DEVELOPING SELF AND WORKING WITH OTHERS** - Effective relationships and communication are important in a school role and you will be expected to manage yourself and relationships well. Through performance management and effective continuing professional development practice, you will be expected to achieve high standards. You will be committed to your own continuing professional development. - Develop and maintain a culture of high expectations for self - Regularly reviewing own practice, setting personal targets and taking responsibility for own personal development. - Managing own workload to allow for reflection and an appropriate work/life balance. **KEY ORGANISATIONAL ACTIVITIES** - The post holder will contribute to the school’s objective in service delivery by: - Enactment of Health and Safety requirements and initiatives as directed. - Ensuring compliance with Data Protection legislation - At all times operating within the school’s Equal Opportunities framework - Commitment and contribution to improving standards for pupils as appropriate - Contributing to the maintenance of a caring and stimulating environment for pupils. **SUPPORTING THE WORK OF THE MULTI ACADEMY TRUST** As part of the Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust all employees will be expected to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with colleagues in the Multi Academy Trust, within the family of Multi Academy Trust academies and the Diocesan family of schools. **Work place address**: St Michaels C of E Academy - Hazel Grove, Bedworth CV12 9DA This training programme focuses on developing classroom delivery and work within schools.
