**About the Role**:
You will be joining a team of our Design & Consultancy team, hardworking, motivated, and passionate to deliver major environmental enhancement projects across a variety of habitats in the UK. This include, river restoration, fish passage, ecological mitigation,and wetland creation works from concept through to implementation. You will be required to attend site visits and therefore must be located in the UK, preferably in the south.
Following continued demand for our services, which includes contracts on multiple frameworks delivering AMP7 design and consultancy for water companies, we are looking for someone who has specialist industry experience (Geomorphology, Engineering, River Restoration,Ecological Mitigation or Eco Hydraulic Engineering) delivering design and consultancy works on river restoration, fish passage, ecological mitigation, and wetland creation to join the team.
As a design and build company, one of the exciting aspects of any role at 5R is seeing these projects run from concept on the drawing board right through to implementation, adding value and innovation throughout.
**Senior Environmental Consultant Requirements**:
As a Principal Environmental Consultant, you must have had an experience of one or a combination of the following: Senior Environmental Consultant,, Consultant Geomorphologist, Senior Water Engineering Consultant, Senior River Restoration Engineer, EcologicalMitigation Consultant, Eco Hydraulic Consultant, Senior Water Engineer, River Restoration Engineer, Ecological Mitigation Consultant, Senior Eco Hydraulic Engineer, or similar.
As a 5R Environmental Consultant you will be responsible for using your technical abilities and industry knowledge, to create technical designs and report on environmental design projects across the UK.
Sustainability and buildability are at the heart of everything we deliver. You will work closely with other design team members, sub-designers, regulatory agencies, and colleagues in our Construction and Monitoring business units, to build this into every project.
You will be a technical lead, ensuring Quality and Assurance, best practice, regulatory compliance, and alignment with 5R’s policy and procedures for all projects. You will manage a project load, works programme, junior staff, and contribute to tendering andbidding works.
As a key client and stakeholder contact point, you will build and sustain strong trust-based relationships, present and represent 5R during conferences, and participate in workshops, and staff training.

- Project Management and all Processes
- Quality Control Including Principal Designer responsibilities
- Data Documenting & Reporting
- Mentoring & Staff development
- Budgeting, Commercial & Finance

**Qualifications**:

- Degree (MSc preferable in a relevant field) (Essential)
- Hold a Chartership from a recognised professional body or working towards one (Desirable)
- Experience using modelling software (Advantageous)
- MoRPH/RHS qualification (Desirable)
- Holder of Full UK Driving Licence with ability to travel as required - UK Wide (Essential)
