**About the Company**

FiveRivers Bids Team is seeking a full-time permanent Estimator to join their motivated and passionate team and support tendering activities for major environmental projects across a variety of habitats in the UK. This role is crucial as part of the company's long-term business plan and its ongoing growth within the industry.

FiveRivers is a leading environmental management and environmental consulting firm based in the UK. With over 25 years of experience working with nature, our expertise spans terrestrial and aquatic habitats, with a particular focus on rivers and wetlands. We support a wide range of clients, working on projects ranging from nationally significant infrastructure schemes to charity-led habitat restoration. We believe that nature is the solution.

**Responsibilities**

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for producing all aspects of construction bids, including cost, quality, and program elements, while closely liaising with a diverse range of clients throughout the tender process.

**Your role will involve**:
Attending site visits for various projects across the UK.
Undertaking framework tender submissions and large, complex bids.
Reviewing tender packages and accurately calculating take-offs from technical construction drawings for cost estimation.
Creating detailed cost breakdowns based on first principles.
Obtaining and evaluating external quotes and managing suppliers.
Writing bid proposals to include the required quality elements for each bid.
Producing NEC compliant programs using Microsoft Project.
Ensuring the timely delivery of full bid submissions within specified deadlines.

You will report to the Estimating and Contracts Manager and work both independently and as part of a wider team to win and hand over new contracts to our in-house Build Team. Your role will also include supporting the development of junior bid staff with some line management responsibility.

**About You**

**We would love you to have**:
A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role.
Experience with NEC3/4 contracts, including program and risk/opportunity management.
Exceptional communication and time management skills.
A methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
Strong IT skills, proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and Project.
Experience in a relevant construction industry such as environmental, civil engineering, landscaping, or groundworks.
A full UK Driver's License.
