An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Accounts Senior/ Semi Senior to join an accountancy practice in Andover on a permanent basis.

Within this role you'll play a vital role in providing an excellent service to a wide range of clients along with supports and training juniors within the business.

You'll be someone who has solid practice experience along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**About the role**

Based in Andover, you will be responsible for:

- Undertaking bookkeeping on behalf of clients (in house or at client premises)
- Using accounting software for the preparation and completion of client VAT returns; monthly or quarterly management accounts, statutory accounts and year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Submitting weekly timesheets, ensuring that work is completed within budget.
- Other ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time

**About you**
- AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA (Part qualified indivudlas will also be considered)
- Have 2-3 years of previous experience in bookkeeping, completing VAT returns and accounts preparation OR an ability to demonstrate the required technical knowledge to undertake the duties outlined above with mínimal supervision.
- This will include a strong understanding of double entry accounting.
- Are a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
- Experience using IRIS packages, Xero, Sage and/or Quickbooks

Experience which is not essential but desirable includes:
- Preparing full sets of Statutory Accounts
- Completing bookkeeping for group companies
- Using IRIS packages, Xero, Sage and/or Quickbooks

**About the company**

**What's on offer**
- Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.

- Contract type: Permanent
- Hours: Typical working hours 9am to 5:15pm.
