You will develop and drive the Talent acquisition strategy for BBC Nations to deliver world-class and diverse employees with the right capability in the right jobs at the right time. You will be a trusted voice and a strategic partner helping to deliver expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and managers across a variety of recruitment topics. You will be a recognised source of truth on external trends and hiring dynamics specific to the business area(s) - these are primarily local radio, news and TV programming across the UK for one of the BBCs biggest divisions.
Main Responsibilities
**The Broad Remit**
You will influence the transformation and future direction of talent acquisition at the BBC and play a critical role in ensuring the BBC has even greater impact across the UK. We are on a journey of organisational and TA transformation that will unlock and increase the potential of all our existing and future employees to deliver value for all audiences We need world-class TA talent to join and help us deliver this aspiration.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Proactively partnering and stakeholder managing across the organsiation to ensure a connected approach
- Ongoing review of the Talent Acquisition strategy and approach for the business area.
- Build trusted relationships with and act as the specialist point of contact for the business area on Talent Acquisition, offering guidance, advice and support.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition delivery teams to ensure the business area’s resourcing needs and well planned for and effectively delivered.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders, senior managers and hiring managers to educate and upskill them on their own accountabilities in the workforce planning, attraction and hiring process including working with new technologies.
- Provide in-depth forecasting of future capability requirements and demand for the Talent Acquisition delivery teams to support continuous improvement.
- Be ready to deputise for the Head of Talent Acquisition as required and supporting them with the development and succession planning for the wider Talent Acquisition network.
- Work with the wider TA team to position the BBC as an employer of choice in the external market, also supporting the development and promotion of talent already in the organisation.
- Collaborate across other HR Specialist Teams to deliver services and promote a culture of process ownership and continuous improvement.
We are looking for someone who is on the pulse of talent acquisition trends, technology and best practice. We need someone to proactively encourage knowledge and idea sharing and to help inspire hiring managers to adopt new tactics and ways of working to futureproof BBC Nations. You will be comfortable in a transformation environment and able to advise other business areas of our new TA model and its benefits. You will also have the ability to build strong, trusted and inclusive relationships across the business. Below are some of the key experiences that will set you up for success;
- Direct experience of successfully designing and shaping end to end high impact Talent Acquisition strategies.
- Complex Change Management experience.
- Able to energise and inspire, without direct authority, a Talent Acquisition network of colleagues managing multiple priorities.
- Embraces and advocates diversity and inclusion in culture and business needs.
- Manage multiple priorities and approaches barriers from a problem-solving standpoint with the goal of creating “win-win” outcomes
- Commercial acumen and translates data and insight into tangible improvement opportunities.
- knowledge of current thinking in Human Resource and Talent Acquisition issues and trends and relevant jurisdictional employment law, regulations and policy affecting Talent Acquisition.
- Knowledge of HRIS, Talent Management, CRM and Applicant Tracking Systems.
