**Are you a User Researcher looking for your next contract? Keen to work for a company who are the biggest public services department in the UK?**

My client, the Department for Work and Pensions are looking for 2 contractors to join their team on an initial 12-month contract on some Universal Credit projects. The role offers hybrid working out of Leeds (2 days on site per week, minimum) and has been deemed inside of IR35. Umbrella rate: £600 per day.

**Important information**: For this role you will need to hold / have the ability to hold SC level Security Clearance. To be eligible for SC you would have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years and be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.

**Interview Process -** 1 stage via MS Teams / Skype.

**Key aspects of the role and responsibilities**:

- Lead on research projects, working with a wider team of Designers, Analysts and Developers.
- Plan, design and conduct user research sessions, including guerrilla testing, user testing, focus groups and workshops, persona creation and card sorting on a regular basis.
- Collaboratively analyse the findings of user research to identify common themes and points of user contention and provide actionable recommendations to the relevant team members.

**Essential skills / experience required**:

- Practical experience of qualitative research methodologies, in terms of design, execution and analysis.
- Experience in taking a lead User Researcher role within a team, setting research direction and mentoring junior research colleagues.
- Experience of working within an agile project environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge, experience in and passion for web user centred design practices.
- Proven experience of gathering user requirements for web based services.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
