The function of the PPU Hub & MASH team is to manage, risk assess and process safeguarding concerns and referrals relating to children, vulnerable adults and domestic abuse, which have been generated by police departments, external agencies and the public.

The post requires that you are able to make decisions around level of risk and ensure all appropriate referrals have been made to partners to ensure the victim is fully safeguarded.

You will need to take personal responsibility for ensuring appropriate actions have been undertaken, by effectively engaging other police teams and/or partner agencies.

The post will require a working knowledge of partnership working and investigative experience.

Previous experience of safeguarding vulnerable people and other crime investigations would be ideal as the role will require oversight of a number of these business areas but is not essential.

The post will require professionalism and flexibility and the appointed person will attend partnership meetings and other appropriate forums for sharing information. You will be expected to represent the police on a rotation in all 3 MASH’ within Bedfordshire.
