Cash Equities Middle Office Contractor

The International Equity Middle Office are a team of 11 supporting the Equity trading and sales departments, encompassing the Firm’s market side executions within EMEA and all clients covered by European Sales desks. Trade flows include Cash Equity, ETF,DMA / Algo, Program and Equity Capital Markets. The team is split into Client Services and Trade Support functions.

**Job Description**:

- Provide a high standard of support and control for the Cash Equity, ETF and Equity DMA / Program desks.
- Daily monitoring and resolution of front to back reconciliations, including Wash book, Trading book, FX, Trading to books & records break investigation and resolution.
- Ensure all issues or potential issues are escalated to management on a timely basis. Escalate all potential compliance issues to management.
- Continual focus on process re-engineering. Requirement to review and question the validity of processes and functions within the team to ascertain whether processes should be automated in current form, or re-engineered.Question whether legacy processesare still required.
- Build relationships with Equity Trading desks, Technology and Operations teams.
- Providing a high level of client service to our internal and external customers.
- Commitment to continual development of technical skill set.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working within an Equity Middle Office environment, with exposure to various Equity Desks, including but not limited to Cash Equity, ETF, Equity DMA and Equity Program Trading.
- Proficiency with Fidessa, CTM, Traiana/Harmony, Fix and Swift Allocation is an advantage.
- Strong working understanding of post trade ETF mechanics, including depot realignments is an advantage.
- The role will involve meticulous attention to detail and working within tight deadlines. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks is essential.
- A flexible, hard-working, “can-do” approach is essential to making a success of the role.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential.
- Proven ability to understand, investigate and resolve issues is essential.
