Residential Support Worker Children

Prospero Health and Social Care are looking for Residential Support Workers to support a new 4- bedded Children's Home in the Bracknell area for a males with complex mental health needs. This home is for medium to long-term placements. It is a stable andwell-run environment with Good / Outstanding OFSTED ratings in their homes.
**Duties include**:
- Completing household tasks
- Ensuring electronic records are up to date and accurate
- Helping children with schoolwork
- Taking the children to activities and to school
- Providing structure to the lives of the children that you support
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment for the young people to develop
The typical hours are a combination of day shifts and sleeps. Shifts are typically between 3pm and 11pm with sleeps until 07:00. There is then a hand over lasting until 10:00. On school holidays, shifts start at 10am.
**Package**:
This position commands a competitive salary of between £23,600 and £26,000 depending on experience and qualifications. The company will also support you to take on additional qualifications including the Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce tohelp progress your career.
**Requirements**:
- A Level 3 Qualification in working with children i.e. the Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce / NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, or equivalent. (desirable)
- A conscientious and resilient personality.
- Willing to get stuck into activities, such as sports, recreational activities and games etc. (essential)
- Experience working with children in care (desired)
