Summary We are seeking an experienced Insight Manager, working within the Strategy Management Unit, to lead the team providing expert insight, external context analysis, and continuous tracking of audience data - all to aid organisational decision making. This isan exciting opportunity to build and motivate a small but growing team, supporting the most senior decision-makers within the National Trust, and using insight to help shape the development of our strategy.

All of the Unit's work is geared towards servicing the organisation and the Executive Team to make informed choices, which are evidence-based and supported by a sound understanding of our external context. The Strategy Management Unit is an exciting placeto work, providing a unique view across the breadth of the Trust's work and directly helping to shape it.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meetwith stakeholders and to carry out work.

What you'll be doing You will be managing the Insight team, aiming to continually improve how we gather, review and present external context analysis, track audience data and analyse trends, and distribute insight effectively across the organisation. You will have excellentanalytical skills and be expert at communicating complexity simply, concisely and effectively, inspiring and motivating your team to deliver work to the highest standard. As well as line management responsibility, you will manage a market research budget,always seeking creative ways to deploy this for maximum impact.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate teams towards clear delivery outcomes
- Excellent people and influencing skills, enabling strong relationships internally and externally to be built and maintained
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to connect multiple sources to develop insights that support strategic decision making
- Deep expertise in market research methods and approaches
- Creative and logical thinker with a problem-solving mindset
- Experience of funding and budgeting, particularly research projects and programmes
