Acting as the Safeguarding Lead for the service, you will be responsible for service users wellbeing and safety, ensuring it is at the heart of their care. This will see you supporting and acting as the main point of contact with families and carers.

You will be responsible for managing all concerns or complaints from families and carers, ensuring that those concerns are responded to and managed within the organisation timeframes.

As a senior member of the team, you will play a lead role in implementing and creating a safeguarding culture. This will see you have primary responsibility for managing and reporting any concerns about service users with staff, the Regional Safeguardinglead and local authorities.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll enjoy support from a regional network of healthcare professionals, with access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.

**Other responsibilities**:

- Develop partnerships working with all relevant agencies, patients and families to support the development of the safety and wellbeing culture at The Woodhouse
- Work in partnership with key stakeholder's e.g. patient forums and family forums, providing evidence of the work and outcomes
- Facilitate and enable a culture of transparency, openness and learning in quality and safety
- Attend designated team and ward meetings

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Professional qualification (degree or equivalent) and registration
- 2 years' experience working within Learning Disabilities and/or autism services
- At least 2 years' safeguarding experience
- Experience in supporting families and carers
- Understanding and experience of the Clinical Governance
- To have excellent English verbal and written communication skills
